Rebecca Skinner
Co-founder and Head of School
Rebecca oversees school operations, the development department, the admissions process, and the overall growth of the school, including the launch of the ISB Middle School in September 2012. Rebecca holds a MA in French Cultural Studies from NYU and has worked in the non-profit, educational world for the past 14 years. In 2009, she received a Blackboard Award for her work as the head of ISB.
Delphine Michaud
Lower School Director
Delphine manages the daily life of the Lower School, overseeing faculty, professional development, student life and progress, curriculum implementation, tending to parent questions and meetings and co-managing the admissions process. Delphine joined ISB in 2007 as an admissions consultant and took on the role of Director of Admissions in 2009. Delphine holds a MA in Education from Bank Street College. She spent fourteen years as an elementary school classroom teacher primarily in NYC independent schools. Prior to coming to ISB, she was the Assistant Director of the lower school at Trevor Day School in Manhattan.
Carlos Martinez
Middle School Director
Carlos joined the ISB administrative team in summer 2011 to help with the launch of the middle school program, set for September 2012. Prior to joining ISB, Carlos spent three years working for International Baccalaureate Organization (Cardiff, Wales) as a Subject Area Manager for the Diploma Programme. Carlos also has fifteen years of experience as a Spanish language teacher in schools around the world and is currently working on his PhD in Applied Linguistics at University of Nebrija (Madrid, Spain).
Meredith Karnis
Athletics and Enrichment Programs Coordinator
Meredith began working at ISB in 2008 as a French Summer Camp teacher. She became the Enrichment Programs Coordinator in 2010, after working as the school’s Administrative and Admissions Assistant. Before joining the ISB staff she taught English in Besancon, France. Meredith holds a BA from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
Natalie Stella Judelson
Director of Development
Natalie joined ISB in 2010 as the Director of Development. Previously, Natalie was the Owner and President of an event planning business focused on not-for-profit fundraising. Natalie has a JD from Boston College Law School and holds a Professional Certificate in Fundraising from Heyman Center for Philanthropy and Fundraising in NYU.
Jennifer Henriquez
Communications Officer
Jen Henriquez manages the communications and marketing for ISB as part of the Development Office. She also manages school-wide information system development. Jen holds a BA in Spanish and Latin American Literature from Bard College and has worked in publishing and non-profit management for 14 years. Jen has worked with ISB since 2006. She has held various positions at ISB, including Enrichment Programs Director, Marketing Manager, and Summer Camp Director, and has spearheaded many of ISB’s community service initiatives.
Michele Lee Clarke-Ceres
Admissions and Development Officer
Michele joined the ISB administrative team in summer 2011. She has over 17 years of experience in the city, state, and federal government; most notably at the U.S. State Department and Principality of Andorra. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree of Arts from the State University of New York College at Fredonia.
Alejandra Adan
Admissions and Operations Officer
Alejandra joined ISB in the summer of 2012. Alejandra has over ten years of experience in education, communications, and project management. Prior to joining ISB, Alejandra worked for the International Baccalaureate and as a founding member of charter school in Harlem. Alejandra holds an M.S.Ed from Bank Street College of Education and a BA from the University of Texas at Austin.
Sandra Bueno-Cordova
Admissions and Development Assistant
Sandra joined ISB in 2010. Prior to joining ISB, Sandra worked for six years as an Administrative Assistant in a private elementary school. She holds a BA in Sociology from Queens College.
Alan Sze
Bookkeeper
Alan joined ISB in 2010. Alan has nine years of experience in accounts administration. Prior to joining ISB, Alan worked as the business manager at The Center for Family and Youth in Albany, NY. Alan holds a BA in Mathematics from SUNY Albany.
Laura John-Mora
Receptionist
Laura joined ISB in 2012. Laura has 13 years of experience in customer service and support and executive assistance.
Robert Sekac
Facilities Manager
Robert joined ISB in 2010. Robert has been in the design, installation and maintenance business for over fifteen years. Robert holds a BA from Niagara University.
Michael Mercado
Facilities Associate
Michael joined ISB in 2012. Michael has 25 years of experience in facilities management.
