The Benefit Blog is Back!

Time to return to your routine friends.Spring is in the air. And the Benefit Blog is back! We’ve risen from our slumber, wiped the fog out our eyes and the blood is flowing through our fingers. We’re well rested and ready to tell you everything you need to know about Brooklyn Gumbo, ISB’s 7th Annual Spring Benefit.

On Wednesday, May 9th we return to the Green Building, the rustic stunner that held last year’s event. However, we’re switching things up a bit (but keeping the speakeasy). This year we celebrate in the spirit of New Orleans, the birthplace of jazz and thriving multicultural center. Brooklyn Gumbo will showcase the food, rhythm, and soul of the city that Emeril Lagasse, Lil Wayne, and Stella Kowalski call home.

This event is our annual  benefit, and all proceeds go directly to  ISB’s Annual Fund. The ISB community needs to come together in order to guarantee another successful fund raiser. Our fundraising goal this year is $75,000. We will reach this goal through a combination of great auction items, by selling raffle tickets, by attending the Benefit and by obtaining corporate sponsors and underwriters. All of these factors are important.

So please start brain storming. Think about what you can do to help. View our benefit page for suggestions and find something that works for you.
