ISB seeks a Math/Science/Technology Middle School Teacher for the 2012-2013 school year, which is the inaugural year of ISB’s Middle School Program.  The full-time position reports to the Middle School Director.  Requirements for this position include the following:

• 3+ years of experience teaching Middle School Math and Science
• Strong IT background; duties will include assisting faculty and students with technical support when needed and teaching Grade 6 Technology classes

During the interview process, candidates will be asked to speak about the following:

• Experience working in inquiry-based environments
• Evidence of past collaborative projects

Experience with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program and the ability to speak Spanish or French are pluses. He/she also should bring energy and passion to help develop this forward- thinking, growing school; be comfortable working in a collaborative environment; and be comfortable engaging with parents, staff and students.

Candidates should have previous experience working with pre-school and elementary school age students. Current or recent Education students are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have a patient and pleasant demeanor, be able to work collectively, be a problem solver and be able to monitor a classroom.

After Care hours are Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm, with extra hours available on occasion. School Aide hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. Positions begin in early September.
