Job Description:
Reporting to the Middle School Director, the Middle School Counselor provides individual counseling and referral for G6-G8 students as appropriate; and coordinates support with teachers, administrators, parents, and outside professionals. The Librarian at International School of Brooklyn is a vital member of the educational team, dedicated to nurturing a passion for reading and enhancing information literacy skills in students from Pre-K through 8th Grade. The ISB Library is multilingual and holds over 15,000 print titles, a digital collection, and databases. Collaborating closely with teachers, the Librarian integrates library resources into the curriculum, conducts library classes, and oversees the day-to-day functions of the library. The Librarian works in tandem with the Head Librarian. This position is full-time and follows the academic year schedule.

Seasonal substitutes/school aides provide support across the school on a daily basis and work approximately 35 hours per week. This position reports to the Division Directors and Enrichment Programs Director. Candidates should have a college degree, experience working with children, and demonstrate some proficiency using digital or online platforms when necessary (e.g. Google Classroom, Zoom, etc.). The most desirable candidates will have proven effectiveness in the classroom as a teacher or teacher’s aide. Proficiency in French or Spanish is also a plus.
